“For this assignment, design a 16-page guide that investigates a specific design tool chosen from the list of options below, or proposed by you and approved by the instructors. Your guide must present a brief history of your chosen tool, as well as ways in which this tool has been misused, appropriated, or has acquired new meaning beyond its intended function.
The print publication must use 4 8.5x11 in. sheets, folded in half and saddle stitched. All other decisions (paper, color, type, layout, etc.) are up to you and should reflect your topic and ideas. You should produce enough copies to hand out to everyone in the class, plus five, on our final day together.”
